Grilled Beef Tenderloin with Mustard Sauce |
|
To Make:
Brush the olive oil onto the meat.
Sprinkle it with the cayenne pepper, black pepper and salt.
Barbecue the meat (or cook on the grill) for twenty to thirty minutes depending on taste, turning regularly.
While your beef is cooking, gently melt some butter in a pan.
Soften the garlic and onion in the butter.
Add in the half and half and heat until the sauce thickens.
Mix in the mustard, and season with a pinch of pepper.
Prepare your egg noodles as directed on the packaging (this usually means boiling for a few minutes in water). Stir in a little butter, and toss with the fresh parsley.
Cut the beef sirloin into thick slices and serve on top of the noodles. Pour on the mustard sauce and serve hot!
Top Tenderloin Tips:
There are four important things to remember if you want a delicious beef tenderloin:
Marinade: This is where you infuse the beef with flavor by rubbing in dry spices or pouring on a wet mix and leaving for a few hours prior to cooking.
Searing: This is where you use a high temperature pan or even a blowtorch to sear the surface area of the food.
Coating: This is where you add the sauce, either before or after cooking.
Roasting: This is where you heat the meat and cook thoroughly.
You can tenderize the beef before you cook it, and test how tender it is by trying to slice it with a butter knife. The tenderest beef is so moist and delicious after grilling that you can serve it with no sauce at all, though plenty of flavors work well with a tenderloin, including pepper sauces, mustard, and red wine based sauces.
